Damage Spreading in the Ising Model
We present two new results regarding damage spreading in ferromagnetic Ising models. First, we show that a damage spreading transition can occur in an Ising chain that evolves in contact with a thermal reservoir. Damage heals at low temperature and spreads at high T . The dynamic rules for the system’s evolution for which such a transition is observed are as legitimate as the conventional rules...
متن کاملDamage Spreading in the Kawasaki Ising Model
We observe no phase transition in the damage spreading probability at the Curie point of the 2D Ising model with nearest neighbor spin exchange dynamics. Furthermore, we report values of the growth exponent z close to unity, implying "'speed of light" transmission of information, and values of the exponents describing the scaling behavior of the damage mass with time and distance, close to two....
متن کاملIsing Exponents in the Two-dimensional Site-diluted Ising Model
We study the site-diluted Ising model in two dimensions with Monte Carlo simulations. Using nite-size scaling techniques we compute the critical exponents observing deviations from the pure Ising ones. The diierences can be explained as the eeects of logarithmic corrections, without requiring to change the Universality Class.
متن کاملPhase transition of a two-dimensional binary spreading model.
We investigated the phase transition behavior of a binary spreading process in two dimensions for different particle diffusion strengths (D). We found that N>2 cluster mean-field approximations must be considered to get consistent singular behavior. The N=3,4 approximations result in a continuous phase transition belonging to a single universality class along the D subset (0,1) phase transition...
متن کاملDamage spreading in Ising model with increased range of interaction
2014 We have studied the spreading of damage in Ising models with increased range of interaction. Simulating a square lattice of linear size 1000 we find that the spreading temperature and the Curie temperature of magnetic transition are the same for both nearest and next nearest neighbour models whereas for third nearest neighbour model they may not be the same.
